When you first glance at the powerful design of the new 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2, you will know this truck is a cut above your regular, run-of-the-mill pickup. The ZR2 is a relentless and punishing powerhouse, and it is considered to be the most enduring pickup in Chevy's exhibit.

In addition to its indomitable veneer, it possesses a 420hp V8 engine, cruises on 33" high tires and offers an elaborately tricked-out suspension. In fact, the Multimatic DSSV suspension developed by a Canadian company has received rave reviews and is what makes this truck so special and highly sought after.

Additionally, the inside features a virtual dashboard, and of course, its crew-cab-only body design entails that everybody can take in a joyful cruise.

Motor, Performance, and Transmission

Within the confines of the ZR2's protruding hood is a similar aspirated 6.2-litre V8 motor that can be found in other models. The motor produces 420hp and 460pf of torque and is coupled with a 10-speed transmission. Each ZR2 offers a 4-wheel drive network with a two-speed shift case and electric locking front and back differentials.

Balancing this pickup's 18" wheels - which are outfitted with remarkable 33" all-terrain tires - is a uniquely adapted suspension that integrates high-calibre spool-valve dampers. Furthermore, underneath the pickup, it is safeguarded via a distinct skid plate bundle.

And Chevy has voiced that the ZR2's mounted alloy bumper offers a 31.8-degree angle of approach.

Towing and Payload Ability

With a traditional hitch, the Silverado ZR2 can pull up to 8900lbs. The half-ton truck also has the capacity to manage a payload of as much as 440lbs.

Interior, Cargo, and Comfort

The interior of the Silverado ZR2 offers a clean dashboard that provides a 12.3-inch wholly computerized device panel beside a large 13.4" touchscreen. Moreover, the cabin sports leather seats as well as a stylish black trim.

Between the buckets in the front is a spacious center console that offers a T-shaped digital shifter. Only available in a crew-cab style, the ZR2 provides a sweeping passenger space, especially in the back.

Infotainment and Connectedness

A large parallel positioned 13.4" touchscreen infotainment device is standard equipment in the Silverado ZR2. This, in addition to wireless Apple CarPlay as well as Android Auto are well-suited for Amazon Alexa and offers integrated app store, maps, and Google voice assistance.
