Sales Associate
Job description
Ron Hodgson Chevrolet is currently accepting applications for Sale Associate. We are looking at on-boarding up to 2 candidates. Previous experience is NOT required. We are seeking highly energetic, positive mind set, high vibe human beings. We are willing to train, teach, coach and mentor. This opportunity is great for someone who has experience with either sales, working in the restaurant business, or any retail environment. We are not your typical automobile dealership. We are tight knit family owned and operated business that puts tremendous value on creating and maintaining a work environment that is extraordinarily positive and enjoyable.
Qualifications: . A valid driver’s license with five demerits or less is required for this position.
General Skills:
A passion for vehicles and the automotive industry
Aptitude to learn detailed product knowledge
Ability to provide outstanding customer service
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask
Ability to adopt new technologies at a fast pace

Responsibilities and Duties:
Approach, greet, and offer assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot
Promote General Motors product superiority, including technology and features
Inform customers about GM specifications
Determine customer wants and needs
Build strong rapport with customers
Provide test drives when required
Learn to overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards
Previous sales or customer service experience is an asset
Introduce the use of new technology into the sales process including specific digital tools such as General Motors app
Prepare the showroom and ensure it is in a clean state
Required AMVIC Certification
*The sales associate position is commission based

Automotive Service Technician
Job description

We are looking for an experienced GM trained technician to join our growing team and enjoy the benefits of our family centered work culture.
WHAT YOU BRING:
Red Seal Journeyman/Journeywoman Automotive Technician License Or Apprentice
Previous General Motors experience preferred
Clean/valid/current drivers license
Electrical/Drivability experience an asset
Transmission diagnosis and repair an asset
A priority in Customer Satisfaction
Positive attitude, self sufficient while being able to work in a team environment
Computer literacy, prefer experience with CDK and MPI Autopoint
Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing
Experienced in the use of GM and electrical diagnostic equipment
Ability to work and succeed in a flat rate shop environment
Out of province and CVIP inspection program license would be an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Road test, inspect, diagnose & estimate repairs as required per customer concerns in accordance with General Motors and dealership guidelines
Capable of using diagnostic and specialty equipment to perform required diagnosis and repairs
Perform general maintenance and vehicle inspections as required
Execute warranty repairs in accordance with General Motors guidelines
Communicate with service advisors and parts technicians to provide accurate and timely estimates and complete times of repairs
Ability to efficiently diagnose and repair vehicles on their first visit to minimize comebacks and improve customer satisfaction

We are looking for an experienced Service Advisor to join our growing team in our Service Department.
Preference would be an individual with previous automotive Service advisor experience; Experience with GM, CDK and/or MPI. More importantly we are looking for “high vibe” people who enjoy a fast past, positive energy work environment.
