Family-oriented, but yet rugged and robust, the 2022 GMC Acadia is a turbocharged four-cylinder behemoth that serves families of all sizes. With both the first and second rows being quite commodious, there is ample room for family road trips or excursions. Moreover, a plethora of infotainment and driver-assistance features come as standard equipment, which will please anyone who prefers the more contemporary conveniences.

What to Expect for 2022

The lineup for 2022 has been updated and improved with the competent and more versatile SLE model serving as the new baseline trim. A turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder in addition to a 3.6-liter V-6 are the new engines that are available. Additionally, a myriad of driver-assistance attributes is now conventional features throughout the lineup. This includes but is by no means limited to automated emergency braking and blind-spot monitoring. Moreover, two novel 18- and 20-inch design wheels as well as a new pigmentation--Light Stone Metallic--are now discretionary attributes.

Cost and Which Trim to Purchase

The baseline SLE trim comes in at an estimated $45.470. While on the other end of the spectrum - the Denali - tops out at around $60,740. However, we would opt for the STL model, as it still offers the conveniences of the higher-end models without the hefty price tag. And this is apparent in the STL's final price point, which is about $51,190, respectively. Although the features aren't as opulent as the Denali's, the STL still offers respectable amenities for you and your family to enjoy.

Engine, Performance, and Transmission

The Acadia's engine is a reliable turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder generating 228 hp. Additionally, the discretionary 3.6-liter V-6 generates 310 hp. Moreover, the Acadia is confident, responsive, and very collected. The ride is easygoing and secure and an adjustable suspension--which is standard with the Denali and discretionary on the SLT--modifies the dampers every two milliseconds in order to streamline the riding experience when over thumps and bumps.

Interior, Cargo, and Comfort

The interior is easy on the eyes and the controls are responsive, user-friendly, and within the driver's grasp. Moreover, a black-and-white gauge cluster with burgundy needles offers data and info with a mere peek. Denali trims sport an evolvable center screen offering a myriad of additive vehicle details based on the settings configured by the driver. Furthermore, the leather-covered steering wheel displays an aluminum trim that is persuasively opulent.

Infotainment and Connectedness

As it pertains to technology, the Acadia provides more than enough for the family. A plethora of USB ports coupled with a Wi-Fi hotspot lets passengers remain connected. Moreover, the touchscreen infotainment network is user-friendly and receptive.
